2024 Summer Programs

Winds & Brass Chamber Camp

Registration is now closed

We are excited to begin CMSP's Winds & Brass Chamber Camp this June! All wind and brass instruments are welcome including flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba.

Experience: 1-2+ years

Ages: 11-18

Dates: Monday June 17 - Friday June 21.

Concluding with a final concert on June 21st at 11:00 am.

Time: 9 am - 12 pm

Location: Trinity Lutheran Church, Stephens City

Cost: $350*

Registration Deadline: June 3

This program is led by CMSP woodwind and brass faculty Sarah McCown, Christina Callahan, and Taylor Losey, and consists of chamber music coaching sessions in preparation for a final performance! Read more about our wonderful teachers here.

Chamber Music & Orchestra Camp

We are excited to continue CMSP's Chamber Music & Orchestra Camp this June! If you or your child have an intermediate or advanced understanding of playing a string instrument, and are looking for a collaborative setting to learn fun music, then register today!

Experience: Intermediate to Advanced

Ages: All ages welcome!

Dates: Monday June 24 - Friday June 28.

Concluding with a final concert on June 28th at 4:00 pm.

Time: 1 pm - 5 pm

Location: Trinity Episcopal Church, Upperville

Cost: $425*

This program is led by CMSP strings faculty Alán Saucedo, Cynthia Saucedo, and Ewa Tryczynska, and consists of chamber music coaching sessions, chamber orchestra practice, and soccer matches to burn off all the hard work! Read more about our wonderful teachers here.

Participants of the 2023 Chamber Music & Orchestra camp performed Train's "Drive By". The final performance was a culmination of their hard work and dedication, displaying a level of maturity and artistry that belied their years.

Summer Voice Workshop

We are excited to begin CMSP's Summer Voice Workshop this July! There will be sessions for both adults and high school students. The week will consist of group classes on vocal exercises, technique, and practice tips. Students will prepare an individual song with a private instructor in preparation for a performance on the final day!

Experience: All Levels Welcome!

Ages: High School through Adult

Dates: Monday July 22 - Friday July 26

Concluding with a final concert on July 26th

Time:

10am-1pm Adult Session

2-5pm High School Session

Location: Trinity Episcopal Church, Upperville

Cost: $350 per session
